What do you do when you find your thinking gets stale?
I’m starting to flesh-out some ideas about ministry that have been bouncing around in my head for awhile. Some people have unknowingly been messing with my mind, and causing me to think as I’ve read their stuff.
I’m not content with the number of students we’re currently reaching. The biggest youth group in Moncton is still the one led by Satan, and while I will NEVER target students already plugged into another youth ministry, I WILL ALWAYS do my best to get the attention of students in Satan’s youth group and bring them into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Here are some things I’m planning to do more of as we jump into summer:
I’m praying for the students more. All the lights, funny jokes, and weird games in the world won’t change a kid’s life like the power of God will.
I’m focusing on our volunteers more. They are on the front lines with me, and they need to know I have their back (and I need to know they have mine.) I want to give them the tools and training to have the maximum impact on students and their families.
I’m loving my wife and kids more.
